Day 1

Antigua Guatemala

When arriving to La Aurora International Airport an escort will be waiting for you to show you the way out to your transfer to Antigua Guatemala.

Day 2

Antigua Guatemala

You will have a full day to explore Antigua Guatemala. Visit the most important monuments in the colonial city which has been declared Humanity’s World Heritage and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in America.

During the colonial period this city was the capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala, a political center, cultural, religious and economical in the area of Central America.

Later in the afternoon you will have time to visit the towns of San Juan del Obispo and Santa Maria de Jesús.

Day 3

Chichicastenango

Today you will depart very early to the guatemalan central valley where you will have the chance to see the multicolored market of Chichicastenango and the Church of Santo Tomás.

Lago Atitlán

Later at a convenient time you will depart to the lake of Atitlan, surrounded by three volcanoes: Atitlan, Toliman and San Pedro. In its crystal like waters you will enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings reflected in the water and enjoy a panoramic view of Panajachel.

Day 4

San Juan La Laguna

At 9 am you will grab a boat ride to the town of San Juan de la Laguna, to do a walk through the city and to visit the catholic church.

You can visit the chocolate factory to know about the making process of chocolate and the textile factory where you can learn about the making of tints used in the beautiful shrouds and finally a visit to the medicinal plants artisans.

In the afternoon you will head to Panajachel to continue to Guatemala City.

Day 5

Tikal

The transfer departure is set at 4 am. Because of this early departure you will receive a breakfast to go at the hotel reception. You will take the local flight (not included in the package rate) to the International Airport of the Mayan World.

From the airport you will head to Tikal, which means “place of whispers”. This is the most important archeological place of the Mayan World and it was built during the classic period.

While in the archeological site of Tikal your guide will take you for a walk. There is a small scale model of the temple and the Acropolis, the Q & R complex, the central citadel, the temple of the Great Jaguar (One of the most important temples) and the Mascarones temple.

At the end of the trip if weather allows it you can visit the lost world. Returning in the afternoon to the visitors’ center to have lunch.

Transfer to the Airport – Tikal – Airport

Day 6

Yaxhá & Topoxté

Today your transportation will take you to the archaeological site of Yaxhá y Topoxté. Once there you will visit the site of Yaxhá and later a boat trip over the lagoon of Yaxhá to arrive to the site of Topoxté.

Here you can watch a mix of nature that blends with the archaeological ruins.

Once this trip is over you will return to the visitors’ center to have a delicious lunch at the camping site of El Sombrero. In the afternoon you will head to the airport to grab a local flight towards Guatemala City.

Guatemala City

After your breakfast a transfer will pick you up to take you to the airport to begin your trip back home. In case of having enough time you can have an optional tour in the area to know more about the city before your flight departs.
