Your Floating Safari at the Peñas Blancas River tour will begin as your transportation and tour guide pick you up at your hotel to take you through the picturesque plains of San Carlos and to the river
As you arrive at the edge of the river, your guides will give you a life vest and your paddle and show you how to use it, as well as a short safety briefing.
Once on the boat, you will discover the breathtaking beauty of the rainforest on a ride that goes back in time to a wilderness that dares imagination.
As you glide down this pristine river, you may let the serenity of the river take your breath away or live this unplugged nature documentary while learning what your guides tell you.
Your certified tour guides are also local naturalists who will explain to you the natural history of the surrounding gallery rainforest with its huge ivies, fantastic diversity, and permanent cicada callings.
You may enjoy the sight of howler and capuchin monkeys, two and three-toed sloths, toucans, and several multicolored smaller birds, together with several aquatic species like cormorants, anhinga, herons, egrets, and kingfishers.
You may also observe river turtles, spectacled caimans, green iguanas, and emerald basilisks.
You will stop at a local farm for typical delicious snacks before heading back to your hotel.
