Arenal Volcano is without discussions one of the iconic highlights of Costa Rica and this experience gives you the chance to see experience it in a one day from San José. The experience begins with a stop in the town of Sarchí, a well-known location in Costa Rica for being the home of many artisans, which makes this town a perfect place for souvenirs shopping and to witness the largest ox cart in the world. The journey will continue along farms, villages and scenic country side until reaching the town of La Fortuna, at the base of the impressive Arenal Volcano. Lunch is served at a local restaurant overlooking the Volcano. Your guide and driver will then continue with a visit to a lookout point close to the National Park entrance with impressive views of the solid lava eruption from the big 1968 eruption, the almost perfect cone volcano´s structure and the Arenal Lake. The experience ends with a visit to one of the many alternatives for hot springs facilities in the area (several options available depending on budget), where visitors can soak, relax and have a tasty dinner before heading back to San José.
