Caño Island is a marine biological reserve with virgin blue waters and wide a wide variety of marine species like sea turtles, rays, moray eels, tunas, snappers, parrot fish, rooster fish, jacks and many more. The expeditions depart from Dominical and Uvita. A snorkel equipment test session is practiced and in addition, guides will assist with an informative safety talk. While on the boat ride, with some luck, passengers will sport dolphins, sea turtles or even Humpback Whales when season. Upon arrival at Isla del Caño, two snorkeling sessions will take place at different spots chosen by the boat’s captain and the expert guides in according to the weather conditions. After finishing the snorkeling sessions, there will be a short break for snacks and fruits on the boat and then some time to relax on the beach (30-40 minutes of beach time) before heading back to the hotel’s area.
Reusable water bottle, light clothes, bathing suit, towel, sandals
or flip flops rain coat or poncho, small bag for personal belongings, sun block, insect repellent.
