Canyoning in La Victoria Waterfall will take you ziplining, yes. Still, it goes beyond the already thrilling canopy tour; you will rappel, swing through a waterfall, go across a hanging bridge and climb a rock wall.
Hacienda Guachipelín is an icon in the history and culture of Guanacaste, it has 3,460 acres (1,400 hectares) with a mild topography, different ecosystems, great patches of tropical dry forest and three rivers go across the farm, forming canyons, waterfalls, and other wonders. It is a perfect place for any adventure!
On this tour, you will enjoy several activities, all close to La Victoria Waterfall. You will zipline, rappel, climb and jump.
That’s why this set of experiences is ideal for anyone who is into the excitement of adventures and has a good physical condition.
You will start at the Adventure Center of the hacienda, where you will meet your guides, leave your items in a locker and get geared up for the tour.
From there you will take a short walk to the first platform
where you will receive a safety and instructions talk and demonstration from the guides.
They will tell you how the cables system work, how are you going to be safe at all times and what you have to and don’t have to do to stay safe at all times.
And it is essential that you understand it fully. If you have any doubts, please do not hesitate in asking.
And off you go!
There are seven zipline cables that go through the forest or in the canyon.
The first platforms are much milder, shorter and easier for you to get used to the sensations. As you go into the tour you will fly on longer cables through the forest and in the river canyon.
As you advance you will go across the canyon several times, and experience two Tarzan swings (One through the waterfall), you will do a controlled 20-meter (65-foot)rappel in the waterfall, climb a rock wall and go Via Ferrata from one side of the wall to the next.
The tour generally takes between 90 minutes and two hours to complete.
