We will start the experience with a short ride to “El Silencio Reserve”; a quiet place with trails that gradually climb through cattle grazing fields to patches of forest. The journey passes along the large shade trees as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna. We will visit the lagoon volcanic crater and the Arenal Volcano lookout, two of the most impressive attractions of the area. From this lookout, visitors can take selfies and photographs with the volcano on the back and well cared horses as they observe impressive rock mountains; the product of the volcano´s ancient eruptions. Next stop is La Fortuna Waterfall. This will include a hike down to the base of the majestic waterfall, about a 15-minute walk. Once we reach the bottom, you can choose to take a refreshing swim or just relax and take in the natural beauty of the area. The tour concludes with a Costa Rican-style lunch which is included.
Comfortable clothing, binoculars, camera, repellent, sunscreen, rain coat, swim suit and hiking shoes.
