The Isla Tortuga Snorkeling tour is a great opportunity to enjoy a day at a paradisiacal island while delighting in amazing underwater wildlife sightings.
You will begin the day by taking a 45 minutes boat trip along the shore with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean on the right side and the lovely landscape of the Nicoya Peninsula at the left.
During your boat ride, you may see dynamic dolphins, leaping manta rays, big sea turtles, and in the right season, you may even watch humpback and pilot whales.
Once you get to the heavenly Tortuga Island, your boat will anchor at the best points for snorkeling.
There is a small volcanic rock reef encircled by crystal clear waters and home of Angelfish, Morays, Needlefish, Porcupinefish, Spotted Eagle Rays, and many more tropical marine creatures that will create an extraordinary snorkeling experience.
After the beautiful underwater experience, your captain will take you to the lovely white sand beach of Tortuga Island, where fresh tropical fruits and drinks will be waiting for you while lunch is prepared. For lunch, you will delight in fresh BBQ fish or chicken, sautéed vegetables, and tasty grilled potatoes.
Following lunch, the afternoon will be at your leisure. You may take a walk, a swim, hire a kayak, have fun on a banana boat, take some “siesta,” or relax at the beach.
And then, when the day comes to an end, you will get back on the boat to return to Montezuma town.
Scuba Diving: as soon as you arrive at the Island, the diving club boat will come for you to enjoy one immersion, this is due to tour time reasons. The visibility is average between 2 and 7 meters. You will see beautiful volcanic rock formations, big schools of fish, rays, morays, sea turtles, and white tip sharks. You will be provided with the scuba diving equipment, and a Dive Master or Instructor as a guide; Please let us know your wetsuit size when you reserve the tour.
