In the arribadas, thousands and even hundreds of thousands of Olive Ridley Turtles cover the beach all at once to lay their eggs.
You will visit the National Ostional Wildlife Refuge. This preserve was created in 1984 to protect the beach from illegal poachers taking the turtle eggs. This is a very significant Sea Turtle Conservation project.
