The Canopy Tour in Hacienda Pozo Azul will take you in the super-diverse rainforests of Sarapiqui.
Hacienda Pozo Azul is one of the pillars of the region. They are horse and cattle breeders, however, dedicate part of their property to the travel industry, becoming one of the leading adventure hubs of the Northern area of Costa Rica.
The canopy tour has eleven platforms and nine cables. Seven of the platforms are on huge hardwood trees as tall as 60 to 90 feet (18 – 27 m).
All platforms have metal railings, and all lines always have double cables granting utmost safety.
The first platform is at the side of a canyon of the Sarapiqui and crisscrosses it many times before arriving at the 320 meters (1049 feet) final cable over the river.
Your tour starts as you meet your guides, and they provide you with the needed gear and hear on how to handle your harness.
From Pozo Azul, a tractor cart will get you to the launch point, where you will receive a safety briefing and the required instructions at a testing zipline.
Once you are ready, you will start with shorter cables to get acquainted with the sensations and the heights.
