Hacienda Pozo Azul is one of the essential spots in the flourishing basin of the Sarapiqui River. Formerly a cattle and horse breeding ranch, the Quintana family hacienda and business it’s been in the region for decades, always committed to improving the lives of the people of Sarapiqui with sustainable nature and adventure experiences.
Nowadays, even though the farm is still very productive, the drive goes more and more into the clean travel industry.
You will start when you meet your tour guides, and they set you up with all the needed gear for this fantastic experience.
Once you are ready, you will go on board of a vehicle that will take you to the entrance of the forest where you will enjoy the rappel.
As you get to the edge of the 98 feet tall cliff surrounded by luscious rainforests and with the river at the bottom, your tour guides will give you a safety and instructions briefing.
Pozo Azul Rappel tour used the best quality gear for extra safety, and the tour guides are certified and well-trained professionals.
You will be supported by two guides, one controlling the safety line and a second one assuring the mainline to guarantee 100% security.
For your initial descend, Pozo Azul can allow a guide close to you, coaching your trip to the bottom. (This is optional, you must arrange it at the time of reservation).
You may enjoy the rappel up to three times.
You will enjoy a fruit snack and water on the trip to charge your batteries.
Furthermore, if you are interested, you may rappel in other spots of the Hacienda Pozo Azul (such as the canopy platform).
